The Association offers twenty $1000 scholarships across the state to students who have, at some time in their school career, been enrolled in a compensatory education program. All scholarships are merit-based in the amount of $5,000, applied toward tuition at the student’s chosen college or university upon acceptance. In addition to the funding, the recipient of the visual arts scholarships will have one piece of art framed and displayed at The Goss-Michael Foundation and will be featured on the Foundation website and monthly newsletter. Open to currently enrolled high school seniors or first-year college students. To be eligible for this award, you must be a U.S. citizen, be under 25 years of age and answer both of the following two essay questions: in under 1000 words, "Why is a healthy lifestyle important in school?" and in under 500 words, describe your career plans, goals and personal ambitions

Nick Muska Memorial Scholarship

 

WHS senior planning to attend a college, university, junior college or trade school full-time in the Fall 2018 with a GPA of 85 or higher.  Must submit an essay explaining how you feel you can or have made a difference in someone else’s life.

West Public Library Tale Tellers Scholarship

 

Available to public, private, and home schooled seniors or graduates who are current volunteer members of the West Public Library Tale Tellers.  Dedication, commitment, and volunteer time spent in preparation and service will be some of the determining factors.  See application to the right.
