Alternative Educational Programs Coordinator
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am so excited to be back in my hometown of West and look forward to serving the students and families of this wonderful district.
This will be an interesting- and undoubtedly rewarding- year! All of us have faced so many challenges lately – and this is our opportunity, once again, to RISE UP! I cannot help but think about the historical context of the world we are living in. This is an amazing chance to write our history. Let's make the best of it!
I am Diane Wilson - and I am proud to be a member of the West ISD Administrative Team! This is my 21st year in education – all of them in just two districts.
As the Alternative Education Coordinator, I will be working with at-risk students to help them reach their goals of earning a meaningful high school diploma. My main priorities will be academic success and attendance. I will also work closely with students placed in the DAEP and ISS settings. Additionally, I will be working to help students define their path after graduation.
West ISD has a long tradition of providing students with the tools needed to be successful - both in school, and as students transition to life after high school. I understand the value of a high school diploma in today’s world – and I understand the value in harvesting future ambitions into attainable goals! I pledge to work with you to help your child be successful. Together, we can. Together, we will!
I look forward to seeing you at West events - and look forward to an awesome year!!!
Go Trojans!
