Carol is the Developmental Special Education Teacher and the Transition and Employment Services Designee (TED) for West High School.  For over 15 years, she has served the Special Education Department at West ISD from grades PK-12+. Carol received a Bachelor's Degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas, followed by an 18-year career in television advertising and production. She developed a passion for teaching skills to new trainees. This lead her to pursue a secondary Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. Carol went on to receive a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and is certified in Special Education EC-12.
As the Transition and Employment Services Designee (TED) for students receiving Special Education services, Carol is able to meet with parents and students to consider life after high school. She can help students consider programs provided by West ISD and help families connect to agencies that may provide services. Click on the TRANSITION SERVICES link in the right column to discover more information, including Texas Medicaid waiver programs, post-secondary education, and guardianship/supported decision making.

CLASSLINK: West ISD uses ClassLink as a single sign on solution for students. The URL for ClassLink is https://launchpad.classlink.com/westisd . If a student is unsure of how to access it, please have them contact me and I'll be glad to help!
SCHOOLOGY: West ISD uses Schoology as a learning management system (LMS) for classes at West High School. Students will access it through ClassLink, so no separate login is needed. If a student is unsure of how to access ClassLink, please have them contact me and I'll be glad to help!
