West Visual Arts
The visual art department at West strives to celebrate the abundant creativity found in this community. Our students are encouraged to experience a myriad of materials and processes in the foundation of Art I, and then dive deeper into individual concentrations found in Drawing, Sculpture, and Painting.
For the serious artists looking to gain college credit while still in high school, we provide the opportunity through our AP classes to submit portfolios for scoring to the college board. Select 8th graders will be invited to take Art I with approval.
