Originally from Waco, Mrs. Lauer has spent her entire teaching career (beginning in 2013) at West ISD teaching secondary English. She received her bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from Oklahoma Christian University in 2011 and her alternative teaching certificate in 2012. She has taught 7th-11th grades and coaches the UIL Literary Criticism and Ready Writing teams. On top of teaching, Mrs. Lauer is raising two wild and rambunctious children and one crazy husband.
