Principal

 

It is my privilege to be the Principal of West High School and to be a part of West ISD in this role!

 

This is my twenty-ninth year in education and tenth in administration. Previously, I spent nineteen years as a science teacher and coach. I am married to Laura Klander who is also in education as an administrator. Our two sons, Brock and David, are lifelong residents of West and proud West Trojans. David is a junior at West High School, and Brock is a recent graduate who is now playing college football in Kansas. We are excited to be a part of this great community and look forward to the future as we continue to grow in all areas.

 

As we start the school year off, I feel it is important to tell everyone about all of the great things that are occurring in West ISD. Our students in grades 9-12 are currently and actively involved in numerous activities that range from UIL Academics, Band, DI, Dazzlers, Ag, Choir, Art, Theatre, One Act Play, Robotics, and Athletics. We have a proud and rich history of student success and strive to continue this for all of our student organizations each and every year. I would encourage everyone to support our students as they participate and represent our schools and community in these endeavors.
