Scholarship Name Deadline Eligibility 
Blogging for Progress Scholarship 4/15/2019 Available to students who are age 16 or older as of April 15 and will be attending a regionally or nationally accredited college, university or vocational school. Students create a blog and write about current events, society, the environment, and public policy. Winners are selected based on an accumulation of participation points.
Kiwanis Club of Waco Seniors Scholarship 4/15/2019 Student must be entering MCC or TSTC in the fall following graduation; proof of acceptance to college or university; leadership and community service will be considered.
Westfest Inc. Scholarship 4/15/2019 Senior planning to enroll as a full-time college student in Fall 2018. Based upon honors and activities participated throughout high school. 
Nicholas Van Pelt Scholarship 4/15/2019 Applicants should be a graduating senior planning to attend a college, university, junior college or trade school full-time in Fall 2018. Student must be planning a career in a science or math-related field or career working with physically or mentally challenged people.
West Masonic Lodge #475 Scholarship 4/16/2019 Must be a student of West High School. Must follow school attendance requirements. Must have a minimum GPA of 75% both Junior and Senior years.  Must be a graduating senior, who plans to attend either a four year institution, community college, or vocational training institution upon graduation, and must enroll for the upcoming Fall Semester. Must have no discipline referrals, no failing grades Junior and Senior year, no disruptive behavior, suspension, or demerits. 
Cody Dragoo Memorial Agricultural Scholarship 4/18/2019 Senior entering the agricultural field; proof of enrollment
Lance Van Willenborg Scholarship 4/19/2019 Must be a graduating senior and plan to attend a college, university, junior college or trade school full-time in the Fall following graduation. Proof of acceptance to college must be included in the application.
Justin Waters Courage Award Scholarship 4/19/2019 WHS senior who has faced serious adversity in his or her life should submit completed application and essay by the deadline. 
Shelly Berger Memorial Scholarship 4/19/2019 WHS graduating seniors should submit the application including an essay indicating educational goals.
West ISD Scholarship 4/24/2019 WHS senior with a GPA of 85 or higher, and demonstrate good character and citizenship.
West High School Business Department Scholarship 4/24/2019 Must have a college major in a business related field, Must have a high school GPA of 85 or better. Must have taken business classes at WHS. Must submit essay requirement that is on the application.
MAC Grant Application 5/1/2019 Available to McLennan County high school seniors only. 
MCC Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship applications open for a short window:
5/1/19 - 5/15/19
Must be attending MCC in the FALL of 2019. Notification of Scholarship winners will be sent to student MCC email addresses beginning the week of June 3rd and are time sensitive.  
Sertoma, Int. Scholarship for Students Who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing 5/1/2019 Sertoma’s Communicative Disorders Scholarship, funded by the Sertoma Annual Fund, is for graduate students pursing advanced degrees in audiology or speech-language pathology from institutions in the U.S. These scholarships, worth $1,000 each, are awarded in the spring to help offset the cost of tuition, books and fees incurred during the following school year. Sertoma’s Communicative Disorders Scholarships provides more funds nationally for graduate level study in communicative disorders than any other single organization.
West Chamber of Commerce 5/1/2019 Scholarship is for a West High School senior and must be used in the fall or spring semester following their high school graduation.
National Stop the Bleed Day Scholarship 5/9/2019 Student must submit a 1-2 minute video or write a 250-500 word essay about why Stop the Bleed is important to them, their school and their community.  Winning students will receive scholarshp money towards post-secondary education and their school will receive Stop the Bleed Kits for free! Heart of Texas Chapter Military Officers Association of America 5/10/2019 Scholarships are awarded to all deserving students attending or planning to attend accredited schools of higher education.  Selection preference is given to members of an active duty military or military veteran's immediate family member, a member of the military or a veteran, or to a dependent, spouse or widow(er) of a fallen warrior. Applicants must reside in the central Texas area.
