William Shaw

Introduction:

I am a retired Army Reserve Major. I have a masters degree in Aquatic Systems and worked for 4 1/2 years in the Auburn University fish disease lab. I also have two undergrad degrees, one in biology and one in fish and wildlife biology. My career choices spanned from being a civilian working for the Army, to computer programming, developing online education for the Auburn University fisheries department, leading the team building online courses for the Food Systems Institute on an FDA grant, to becoming the Director of IT for Medgar Evers College in New York. I moved to Texas to be near my parents who are in their 80's and I now live on the family farm. I have always wanted to teach science in high school. I took the opportunity to get my certificate and have been teaching for 5 years now. Three of those years, I worked for West ISD at the Brookhaven campus.
