- West Education Foundation Casino Night and Dinner: This new special evening of fun is set for this Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the West KC Hall. This event is to help fund special classroom teacher grants. The online ticket link is located here: https://www.msbtickets.com/westhighschool1/schoolevents.

"Seussical the Musical": There are only 3 more opportunities to see the amazing West High School theatre musical, "Seussical", in the West Middle and High School Auditorium. Here are the dates and times:
- Saturday, October 3, 2026: 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM
- Sunday, October 4, 2026: 2:30 PM
- Tickets are $10 at the door.
- Special Called Board Meeting: There is a Special Called Board Meeting set for this Wednesday morning, September 30, 2026, at 7:00 AM in the West ISD Administration Building. The purpose of this meeting is to review and seek Board approval of the student Chromebook replacement plan bid for the 2026-2027 school year. if approved by the end of the month, the district will save money on the bid.
- Custodian Appreciation Day: This Friday, October 2, 2026, is a special day for our fantastic, hardworking custodial team. Please join the district in thanking our custodians for all they do to keep our facilities safe and clean.
- 2026 West High School Homecoming: The 2026 West High School Homecoming game is set for next Friday, October 9, 2026, versus Mexia High School, at 7:00 PM at Trojan Field. The Homecoming Court will be honored and crowned at halftime.
- 2026 West ISD Fall Break: The 2026 Fall Break is Monday, October 12, through Friday, October 16, 2026. All students also have off Monday, October 19, 2026 (staff work/conference day).
- Concession Stand Volunteers: The WABC is looking for volunteer help for the indoor/outdoor Concession Stands. The Booster Hub volunteer sign-up link is located here: https://wabc.boosterhub.com/about/12314
- STOPit Safety and Bully Reporting System: STOPit is the district's anonymous incident reporting system for students and parents for all safety and bully reporting needs. STOPit has an app feature you can download or the link is saved on your student's Chromebook main login page or the West ISD website (first button on the first row of the page).
- Staff Shoutouts - Thank a Trojan or Lady Trojan: West ISD loves hearing about our amazing employees! From our bus drivers and office staff to principals, custodians, teachers, and more - our Trojan and Lady Trojan Nation consists of the best of the best. - The following positions are currently open for the 2026-2027 school year: Child Nutrition Team, School Bus Aide, Custodian, and Substitute Teacher.
