5:00 - 7:00pm WHS Band Concert and Sight Reading Practice

Tuesday, February 24th

8:00am English I & II Benchmark
  • Test Administrators: A. Biles, Fitzhugh, Harralson, Harwell, Hill, Lauer, McCauley, Neal, Posey, Sexton, Shoppach, Slone, Young
  • We will mimic a STAAR day so we will be starting at 8:00am. We will plan to test through 4th period. We will consolidate at the end of 4th period and send those that are finished to lunch.
  • Student Room Assignments:
  • 9th Grade
  • 10th Grade

9:00am Juniors and Seniors: Stop the Bleed, CPR, AED, Narcan Training and Police Officer Interaction Training

10:30am ADVISORY:
No Advisory due to testing and trainings

6:00pm Lady Trojan Softball at Alvarado

10:30 am Advisory:
  • Students will go to their 2nd period teacher's advisory class.
  • Please refer to this ADVISORY spreadsheet on where students should be.
  • REMINDER for Teachers: Students are required to be in their assigned advisory/UIL classroom everyday unless another teacher has requested a student through email with the student's Advisory teacher. Students are not allowed to leave the Advisory classroom without this. Please take attendance and report to Biles and Pratka any students that are missing from Advisory.

West ISD partners with Shepherd's Heart to bring FREE Groceries to our students and community!

What to expect:
The groceries are typically 3-4 boxes of food (beans, canned goods, rice, produce, meat, etc.).
They are too heavy for bus riders to take home, but families can absolutely get extra for neighbors or friends.
(Think food that you cook for a whole family, not snacks.)

What to bring:
Absolutely nothing! No proof of income or anything needed!

If you would like to pick up some of this free food, you are welcome to do this!
