Monday, October 20th

Parent Teacher Conferences
Student Holiday! Staff Work Day!

GOOD LUCK TO THE WHS VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS!! The girls will be starting at 8:15am and the boys start at 8:45am! They are in Huntsville! Good luck students and coaches!!

Parent Teacher Conferences:
Parents, you should have received conference sign up times via ParentSquare to set up a time to meet with your student's teachers. Please check in at the front office and someone will take you to your teacher's classroom.

UNITY DAY! Wear ORANGE
About Unity Day:
Unity Day, started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in October 2011, is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month. This is a day when we can come together to send a visible message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. The call to action is simple: wear and share the color orange. This vibrant statement becomes a conversation starter, showing support for students who have been bullied and for bullying prevention.

Thursday, October 23rd

8:50am PSAT/NMSQT for ALL Juniors! Please click here for Room Assignments. Please click here for testing groups and test administrators. This spreadsheet is only for those with a West ISD email address. We will begin testing at 8:50am. The test is roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Upcoming Assessments:
  • October 23rd: ALL Juniors will take the PSAT/NMSQT. The data from this test will determine students who qualify for the National Merit Scholarship! You do not have to register for PSAT/NMSQT

  • October 30th: ACT for Juniors and Seniors who have registered and paid by September 16th

  • November 6th: TSIA2 Reading/Essay/Math as needed for 11th/12th students

  • November 13th: SAT for Seniors

  • December 2nd, 3rd, 4th: STAAR EOC Retakes

  • December 9th: STAAR EOC Interim for all English I and English II Students

  • December 11th: STAAR EOC Interim for all Algebra students
